Erin and Nate’s Whirlwind Journey to Their Portland Townhome

Moving to Portland is always an adventure, but for Erin and Nate, it was nothing short of extraordinary! From Arizona to Oregon, their journey to homeownership had excitement, surprises, and a few unforgettable firsts along the way.

Their story began with a whirlwind house-hunting trip. Flying in from Arizona, they spent just a weekend touring homes in their new city. It was during one of these showings that I’ll never forget the moment they laid on the carpet of the primary bedroom to see if it felt like the right fit—and it clearly was! It was such a fun and authentic way to “test” the home, and it made the decision feel so much more real. Before long, they submitted an offer and were under contract in no time.

Of course, things rarely go perfectly smoothly in a story like this. Partway through the process, they pivoted to a different unit in the same community, a decision that ended up being absolutely the right move. Then came a wedding, a honeymoon, and the big move to Portland. To top it all off, they embraced their very first month in the new home without a couch—and somehow made it work!

Finally, the home officially closed, the keys were in hand, and Erin and Nate were ready to start their life in Portland. It was a joyful, memory-filled adventure that perfectly captures what moving to Portland can feel like when you’re ready to dive in and make a new city your own.

Helping clients like Erin and Nate navigate the moving process, pivot when needed, and celebrate these milestones is why I love being a Portland real estate agent. Their story is a great reminder that sometimes the best homes (and the best memories) come from embracing a little chaos along the way.

If you’re considering moving to Portland, whether from across the country or just down the road, I’d love to help you find the right fit and make your transition as smooth (and fun!) as possible. From finding the perfect neighborhood to navigating contracts and key days, my goal is to make your move to Portland a story worth celebrating too.
