Buying a Home in SW Portland: Savannah & Liz’s Journey to Homeownership
Buying a home in SW Portland is an exciting milestone and for Savannah and Liz, it was a goal more than a year in the making.
When Savannah and Liz first came to me, they had one clear goal: they wanted to buy a house together after they got married. Over a year later, they did just that!
Their journey is a great example of what buying a home in SW Portland can look like when you have a clear vision, a little patience, and the right team in your corner.
Finding the Right Home in SW Portland
Savannah and Liz were incredibly patient throughout their home search. They were patient with each other, patient with the process, and thoughtful about finding a home that would truly work for them.
And they make quite the team.
Savannah is the dreamer, with lots of big ideas for what their future home could be. Liz is the numbers guru, carefully crunching the numbers and making sure the purchase made sense financially. Together, they are the perfect yin to each other’s yang.
When you’re buying a home in SW Portland, having both the big-picture vision and the financial details covered can make a huge difference. Finding the right house isn’t just about falling in love with a property, it’s also about making sure the home and the numbers work for your life and your future.
The Perfect SW Portland Location—with Washington County Taxes!
Eventually, we found the ideal spot for Savannah and Liz in SW Portland.
And there was one big bonus: the home was located in Washington County!
Southwest Portland is an especially interesting area for homebuyers because the Portland city boundary doesn’t always line up neatly with what people think of as Portland proper. Some communities and neighborhoods that feel very much like part of the Southwest Portland area are actually located in Washington County.
For buyers, that’s an important distinction to understand when considering everything from property taxes and schools to utilities and local services.
For Savannah and Liz, though, the location was exactly what they were looking for.
Turning a House Into Their Future Home
The fun part is just beginning.
Liz’s number crunching—with a little help from AI—is helping bring their vision for the house to life. They have found a home that gives them the opportunity to create a space that works for them now and into the future.
And that’s one of my favorite things about helping people buy a home in SW Portland: it’s not just about finding a house. It’s about helping people find a place where they can build the next chapter of their lives.
For Savannah and Liz, that means a perfect home to start and grow their family.
I seriously couldn’t be happier for them. Congratulations, Savannah and Liz! I’m so excited for you both and can’t wait to see this home come to life!
And, of course, a big shoutout to Rob Levy for being such a great co-op! It was a pleasure working with you.
