Weathering the Storm: Determination Pays Off in SE Portland

Kris and Angela are an awesome couple that my fellow Bridge to Portland Group teammate, Genmae Rianelli and I have been working with after they were referred to us by a past client. From the get-go, I could tell that they were ready to make a move.

They really wanted to cut down on their commute and were ready to move across town to shorten their time on the road. We started off slow, just feeling out what they wanted. And then, out of nowhere, we stumbled upon this perfect place that ticked every one of their boxes. It actually reminded them of their old place on the Westside, which they loved. It really felt like fate or something!

We negotiated a great price and concessions up front, and then a few more seller concessions during escrow. Then, just when everything was falling into place, the ice storm hit and the whole city basically shut down. We were thinking that we’d have to extend the closing date because of the weather. But Kris and Angela? They weren’t having any of it. They braved the elements, made it to the escrow office, and signed those papers like champs! We were able to close on time with a huge amount of teamwork on everyone’s end.

Genmae and I really loved getting to know this couple and we’re sad it happened so fast because we really enjoyed working with them. But we’re so happy that everything worked out just like it was supposed to.

Here’s to Kris and Angela – new beginnings, new memories, and a whole lot of happiness in their new home!
